On April 17, Milan will open the doors to the 57th Edition of the Furniture Hall, one of the most important international design events. The Showcase with capital letters par excellence of the quality, innovation and creativity of the interior design sector, is scheduled at the Fiera Milano venue in Rho, until Sunday, April 22. The numbers are so overwhelming that expectations are more optimistic than ever. And we are talking about 205.000 square meters of exhibition space, with more than 2.000 exhibitors, 22% of them from foreign companies. It is presented, as always, divided by stylistic typology, that is, Classic: tradition in the future, Design and xLux, to which are added the EuroCucina biennials and the International Bathroom Show, together with SaloneSatellite.
This year is different, since for the first time, the organization proposes a Manifesto where the fair is analyzed from the perspective of Milan, trying to find the values and deep ties that unite it to the Italian city, thanks to the companies, brands and designers who have made this meeting something great worldwide. This is not a gesture of affection towards Milan, which is also a declaration of intentions that lays the foundations for a new way of thinking, building and designing. Because the Salón del Mobile is more than an exhibition of furniture and decorative objects. It is an international event, a laboratory for experimentation and research, a meeting place and showcase for new businesses, where designers and architects present and study the advances of trends, anticipating them.
But in the end, the Milan Furniture Fair is the reflection where lovers of aesthetics look and see themselves reflected. Therefore, even the stands are a true work of art. Because aesthetes from all over Europe and half the world will admire and judge a company, not only by its products, but also by the continent and the way in which they are presented. Thus, Spanish brands in the luxury furniture sector such as Alexandra Collection, Soher, Mariner, Tecni Nova, Epoca or Amboan; design references such as kettal, Gandía Blasco, Andreu World, Sancal and Capdell; sofas Fame, Acomodel, Pedro Ortiz, all of them will reflect the latest trends and developments in each sector. Others as well known as Natuzzi, Roche Bobois, Boca do Lobo, all the big brands linked to the design of luxury products and exquisite finishes, have this event marked on the calendar as one of the unavoidable ones in terms of architecture, design and interior design.
It goes without saying that the city of Milan is worth a visit in itself, if not for the load of history that overflows its streets, then at least for the variety of tourism opportunities it offers. Cultural, shopping, Milan is an inexhaustible source of opportunities to get to know one of the most elegant and sophisticated cultures and societies in all of Europe up close.
That's probably why its Fashion Week is the second favorite after the big Paris, and some of the most famous fashion designers in the world have not hesitated to set up hotels in this city in its name. In this way, it is possible to stay in the Armani Hotels, a true design luxury in the heart of Milan from 594 euros per night.
O Bvlgari, her jewels are as attractive and seductive as the rooms and hall of her extraordinary hotel, also located in Milan, and with a price that hovers around 900 euros per night.
But if what you are looking for is charm and tradition, then the Prince of Savoia Hotel It is the best choice, a walk through history with this stately building transformed into a hotel and which hosts wonderful stays from 410 euros.
In short, the Milan Furniture Fair is without a doubt the inexcusable event with design and interior design, an exquisite way to travel to the Italian city of glamor and who knows whether to return home with a new living room in your luggage.
