The brightest of Chanel

February 16, 2024 | Lifestyle

We have just passed Valentine's Day, but it is not the only time of the year in which we can surprise our partner with a detail. In fact, if we do it outside of these dates, the surprise may be greater. So, as we know that a diamond is forever, there is nothing better than presenting, to our friends and clients at De Salas, the Chanel jewelry collection, which is inspired by the fabrics of this iconic fashion brand, to surprise them. .

Back in the 20s, designer Coco Chanel began designing women's clothing, inspired by the traditional tweed fabric, which she learned about thanks to her relationship with the Duke of Westminster, who used it in his jackets and which, until then, was a fabric used exclusively in men's clothing. But, the designer feminized it through the use of colors, thus revolutionizing the aesthetics of this fabric completely.

Today, the set of collarless jacket and pure wool tweed skirt has become a symbol of the brand, to the point of wanting to capture it in a collection of unique pieces of the highest jewelry.

A total of 63 new jewels make up this brilliant collection of rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and brooches, which began in 2020 with 45 pieces, in which, the Director of the Chanel High Jewelry Creation Studio, Patrice Leguereau, wanted to create a tweed set with precious stones, imitating this comfortable and warm material, which is directly associated with the best quality couture fabric for winter.

In this collection, the five symbols that are the identity of the Chanel brand stand out: the bow, the camellia, the sun, the comet and the lion.

Jewelry Tweed Bow They are intertwined with a monochromatic and ultra-flexible weave that combines cultured pearls with diamonds set in white gold.

The Camellia Tweed It shows flowers embroidered in rose gold set with sapphires of the same color and fuchsia, on a textured fabric.

Set in a yellow gold fabric we present the collection Tweed Sun that plays with transparencies and shines with precious crystalline stones.

Inspired by the blue and black of a starry night sky, we show you the jewelry collection Astral Tweed made of precious stones on a black and blue fabric with yellow diamonds and sapphires.

The Tweed Lion opt for orange, red, and gold tones forming braided textures embroidered with chains. As a curious fact we can say that the lion was Coco Chanel's zodiac sign.

But without a doubt the star piece of this collection, as if the others were not, is the Royal Tweed necklace, not only because of the similarity of its finish with the fabric of the suits, but also because of the 2.400 hours of meticulous work that has gone into the manufacture of this piece, created in yellow gold and adorned with a chain that wraps the neck, set with diamonds and 37 rubies.

To complete this work of art, in the center we find the lion as the true protagonist, which disengages to act as a brooch. The center pear-cut diamond (10,17 carats) is also removed to shine on the hand by setting it in a ring. And all this is what makes the Tweed Royal necklace considered the star piece of this collection.

We hope you enjoyed our video today in which the images shine on their own and we look forward to seeing you in 7 more days with much more of the De Salas lifestyle.

See you soon!
